54m Huisman sportfish yacht 406 launched at Amsterdam Yacht Service

Amsterdam Yacht Service was the site of an exciting new launch to kick off 2024: the latest 54-metre sportfishing yacht emerged from the Vollenhove-based shipyard Royal Huisman.

The yacht (build number 406), was shipped to Amsterdam Yacht Service’s Zaandam facility by HEBO via pontoon, after which she was lifted up by AYS’ sizeable travellift and let into the water for the first time.

This launch offered Amsterdam Yacht Service an ideal opportunity to showcase both its latest technical capabilities and attention to detail, as Amsterdam Yacht Service Director Robert Binnekade highlights. “As with all of our projects, we are made sure that we crossed all of the ‘Ts’ and dot all of the ‘Is’ with this project. We used a new spreader bar system and new slings, both of which we are very excited about. We tested the whole setup prior to launch to be absolutely sure that everything would run smoothly, and it did!”
