Home away from home
One of the things that always strikes us is the vast array of projects that float through the Amsterdam Yacht Service facilities, from classic sailing superyachts to commercial vessels, tourist boats, and even bridge components.
The 22.9-metre 2000-built Kuipers yacht Lucky Jack (now renamed Nageira) had an eventful yet ultimately successful stay at our shipyard. With the works beginning as a haul-out and respray of one of her topsides, she was placed into a specially-designed container hall covered by a tent while these were completed.

The second round of works took place between March-May 2022. These included repairing and respraying her superstructure and topsides, redoing her stainless steel bulwarks/railings, replacing a window and revarnishing damage to her interior.
The 29-metre pedigree motoryacht Raider from Germany also recently completed works with us. The vessel was hauled out for anti-fouling and we repaired the seating and fittings in the bowthruster tunnel. In addition, we also installed an an all-new sternthruster with a tunnel. Thanks to her impressive 69.65-metre length, our works on the converted motor yacht Sherakhan took place in the water at our facility between August-September 2022.

These included the repair of various outboards and valves, fixing her depressurised fire fighting system, the modification of her masts and antennas, the repair of the passerelle and aluminium works, as well as installing a new rudder control system.
Our most recently-completed project was the 40-metre motor yacht Bella, carried out as a cooperative refit with our Dutch colleagues, Royal Van Lent, and which began in December 2022. A extensive and detailed refit, works on the vessel included underwater antifouling, work on the engine room and generator frames, assembling and disassembling the majority of the yacht to prepare her for painting, disassembling the pitch control system as well as the rudder and much more. With the painting expected to be completed in June, the remainder of her works will be completed by Royal Van Lent to prepare her for the upcoming season.
